Leo Castañeda adapted 3D modeling techniques and combined painting, drawing, and sculpture to create the immersive video game installation on view here. He incorporated paintings by his grandmother Maria Thereza Negreiros to depict a fantastical landscape of Colombian and Brazilian ecosystems inflected with Latin American Surrealism. As players move through this territory in the game, they use camouflage and electromagnetism to solve environmental puzzles and resolve conflicts, ultimately altering the course of a cataclysmic explosion.

The video presented here offers a 360-degree flythrough of the game environment. Castañeda has also released a preview of Camoflux: Levels & Bosses Video Game Installation Incendio Igapó on the gaming platform Steam.
