End of Days consists of scrolling text on an LED display and performances by Nile Harris and Dyer Rhoads. During the live performances the LED display provides an English translation of the Russian spoken by a man delivered to the galleries and uncrated as a work of art. The work reflects on what it means to be “collected”—a question that is especially relevant for artists working with performance inside of museums, institutions traditionally dedicated to the display and preservation of objects.

Dark Brown Birkin Bag is a related work that Harris conceived from a desire to make a Hermès Birkin bag—known for being a collector’s item—out of his own skin.
