Jasmin Sian (she/her)

51

Working with found materials such as deli bags, Jasmin Sian wreathes animals and plants with intricate lace-like motifs that she cuts out with an X-Acto knife. The equally detailed act of painting the living beings at the center of the works—sometimes using brushes with a single bristle—is meant to honor their existence, creating memorials in some cases and protective dwellings in others.
