The grassroots film initiative kekahi wahi filmed this satirical resistance training workout on the shore at Kealakekua Bay on the Island of Hawaii. It was on this site in 1779 that the high chief Kalaniōpuu escaped a kidnapping by Captain James Cook, the British Royal Navy officer whose crews became known for spreading diseases to Indigenous people throughout the South Pacific. Today the bay is a major destination for tourists.
