John Atherton

Introduction

John Carlton Atherton (January 7, 1900 - September 16, 1952) was an American painter and magazine illustrator, writer and designer. His works form part of numerous collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
