Introduction

Aronson was the founder of the School of Art and Professor Emeritus at Boston University. A Boston Expressionist interested in figuration and its connection to spiritual themes. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, and the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, among other institutions.
