Ed Moses (April 9, 1926 – January 17, 2018) was an American artist based in Los Angeles and a central figure of postwar West Coast art.
Moses first exhibited at the Ferus Gallery in 1957 and became widely known over the next five decades.

Introduction
His eclectic career spanned five decades, and he was considered a fixture in the Los Angeles art scene. His first solo exhibition was at the Ferus gallery in 1958. He taught art at the University of California, Los Angeles, intermittently from 1968 to 1976. Known for shifting between styles, he was drawn to grids and repetition. He experimented with watercolors, assemblage, drawing, acrylic, and installation. From the 1970s, Moses explored the process of painting rather than the final product.
