As part of the Dreamlands film series, Nassiem Valamanesh’s film screens in Distant Words, a program of two Iranian and Syrian filmmakers living outside their countries addressing their sense of isolation and injustice in hand-drawn animation and montage. The films explore the isolation and loneliness of an outsider visiting his native country as a stranger.
