Members are invited to experience the Whitney’s influential exhibitions during the concluding months of the inaugural year in the new building. Enjoy expedited entry before the galleries open to the general public on the first and last weekends of the month, February through April 2016. Be among the first to experience Open Plan: Andrea Fraser, the first project of an experimental five-part exhibition that uses the Museum’s dramatic fifth-floor as a single open gallery, unobstructed by interior walls. Andrea Fraser’s site-specific piece, Down the River, presents audio recorded at a correctional facility in the museum gallery to connect the social and geographic spaces of these disparate institutions.
