Toba Khedoori

Introduction

Toba Khedoori (born 1964), is an Australian-born artist, of Iraqi–Jewish heritage. She is known for highly detailed mixed-media paintings executed on large sheets of wax-coated paper. She moved to the United States in 1988 for university, and lives in Los Angeles, California.

Introduction

Known for her large-scale paintings in oil and wax on paper, typically mounted directly on the wall with staples. Her focus is often architecture or architectural details removed from their context. A retrospective of her work was held in 2016 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
