Steve Wolfe

Introduction

Wolfe created three-dimensional trompe l'oeil replicas of used and worn books and records using a variety of materials including oil, acrylic, screen printing, lithography, canvas, wood and aluminum. His work is in the collections of The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Menil Collection, Houston, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Dallas Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
