Whitney Stories Video:
Adam Weinberg
May 1, 2015

The Whitney Museum of American Art opens its doors to the public today. In this capstone to the Whitney Stories video series, Adam Weinberg discusses his life in museums, first as a curator and now as the Whitney's Alice Pratt Brown Director. As a driving force behind the Museum's expansion downtown he provides insight into the process, which was realized under his leadership over the course of more than a decade through the collaboration of hundreds of staff members–affectionately called the Whitney Family.

This video is part of a series which sheds light on the Whitney’s plans through conversations with artists, Whitney staff, and integral members of the construction team–view more Whitney Stories videos below.
