Brendan Fernandes: The Master and Form | Whitney Biennial 2019

June 20, 2019

The Master and Form by Brendan Fernandes is a sculptural installation of five structures that assist and obstruct a group of dancers, testing their endurance and self-control. Resembling a cage, the structure also refers to S&M culture, creating “a space where roles of mastery and submission are in play.”
