Floor 8

All members

Join for a preview of Kevin Beasley: A view of a landscape, an immersive experience that serves as a meditation on history, land, race, and labor. The New York–based artist uses a cotton gin motor to generate sound as if it were a musical instrument, and divorces the physical motor from the noises it produces, enabling visitors to experience sight and sound as distinct. Part of the Whitney’s emerging artists program, this is Beasley's first solo exhibition at a New York museum.

Members: please present your membership card(s) on Floor 8. The exhibition will be installed in two separate rooms, and it will be necessary to present a membership card to enter each room.

Standard admission for each category applies: Discount and Individual members enjoy admission for the cardholder; Dual members enjoy admission for the two cardholders, etc. Not open to corporate and reciprocal members. To join or upgrade, call (212) 570-3641.
