Celebrate David Wojnarowicz: History Keeps Me Awake at Night and Pacha, Llaqta, Wasichay: Indigenous Space, Modern Architecture, New Art during the final week of these exhibitions. This Member Night event includes a reading with author Cynthia Carr and a performance by the band 3 Teens Kill 4 as well as mini tours, art-making, cash bars, and more!

Collage and Drawing: “Miles Above the Earth”

This workshop led by artist Jaqueline Cedar will combine observational drawing with collage to help participants explore the artistic process of David Wojnarowicz.
Author Cynthia Carr Reads from Fire in the Belly
Floor 3, Susan and John Hess Family Theater

Cynthia Carr will read from her definitive biography Fire in the Belly: The Life and Times of David Wojnarowicz. From 1984 to 2003 Carr was a columnist and reporter for the Village Voice focusing on art and performance. She is currently working on a biography of Candy Darling.
Critical Looking Seminar: Borders and Belonging

Join teaching fellow Aliza Shvarts for a discussion exploring the complexities and contradictions of concepts such as “the nation” and “American.” Works on view in current exhibitions will serve as touchstones.
Stay and Fight: 3 Teens Kill 4 in Concert

In the early 1980s, David Wojnarowicz was part of the band 3 Teens Kill 4. For this concert, band members Doug Bressler, Brian Butterick, Julie Hair, and Jesse Hultberg will perform songs from the recently re-released 1982 album No Motive, as well as new material.
