Floors Six and Seven
Patron, Circle, Fellow, and Sponsor members
Collected by Thea Westreich Wagner and Ethan Wagner presents a selection from Westreich Wagner and Wagner’s recent gifts of art to the Whitney and the Centre Pompidou. The exhibition is organized as a series of thematic rooms that explore such ideas as the darker side of advertising, street style and the punk aesthetic, and the artist as celebrity. Each tour, led by a Whitney teaching fellow, explores the exhibition in conjunction with The Whitney’s Collection, a presentation of works from the Museum’s holdings that examines the complexity of American art and identity in the early and mid-twentieth century.
Active members at the Patron, Circle, Fellow, and Sponsor level are invited to register for one of two options:
Thursday, March 3
Option 1: 6:30–7:30 pm
Option 2: 7–8 pm
This program was also offered on February 18.
