Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patron Members

Join artist and educator Mark Joshua Epstein for an evening of drinks and hands-on artmaking inspired by paintings in the new Whitney permanent collection exhibition Spilling Over: Painting Color in the 1960s. Sparked by works of the 1960s and early 1970s that inventively use bold, saturated, hallucinatory colors, we will make our own works that activate perception.

7–7:30 pm
Reception and private viewing of Spilling Over: Painting Color in the 1960s

7:30–8:30 pm
Guided artmaking led by educator and artist Mark Joshua Epstein

8:30–9 pm
Reception and exhibition viewing continues
