Harold Krisel
1920–1995

Introduction

Harold Krisel was born October 6, 1920. After studying art in New York City and architecture in Chicago, he worked for twelve years as an architectural designer. He exhibited at Chicago Art Institute in 1949 and 1951 and at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1954. He was known as an abstractionist painter and printmaker. Krisel completed many corporate and public commissions including a fountain at Wofford College in South Carolina. Krisel died October 18, 1995.
