Introduction

Abstract painter attended the Academia de S Alejandro in Havana and studied with Leopoldo Romañach and sculptor Juan José Sicre. In 1958, Soriano helped found the Grupo Diez Pintores Concretos with Pedro Álvarez, Wilfredo Arcay, Salvador Corratgé, Sandu Darié, Alberto Menocal, José Mijares, Pedro de Oraá, Martínez Pedro, and Loló, Soldevilla. Disillusioned with revolutionary Cuba, Soriano relocated to Miami, where he remained for the rest of his life.
