Working with the Whitney

Thank you for working with the Whitney!

We value our relationships with our vendors, and outside contractors, and are committed to working together to create a safe and positive environment for everyone involved.   When working with the Whitney, you are expected to follow all museum policies, regulations and agreed terms, including those listed below.

Prior to our working together, you must complete the following steps:

Finalize Agreement

  • Work with your Whitney point-of-contact to complete the appropriate  agreement, either on the terms below or a more specialized form. This may include a Proposal, Services Agreement, Independent Contractor Agreement or Access Agreement.

Provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI)

  • The COI must name “Whitney Museum of American Art, its Trustees and Officers, Employees, Volunteers and Assigns” as additional insured, and meet all specified limits.
  • Please submit all certificates to your Whitney point-of-contact.
  • Here is a sample COI.

Submit a signed W-9

  • Please provide a completed and signed W-9 form to your Whitney point-of-contact prior to beginning your work.
  • Here is a form W-9.
