Studio Forum

The Studio Forum fosters discussion of object-based research and programming associated with the Whitney’s exhibitions and permanent collection. Taking a closer look at works of art on view, from both a conceptual and material perspective, conversations highlight the intellectual core of the installations while considering the physical manifestation and care of the art. Reference to historic records and imagery enrich the discussions and enlighten our appreciation of the museum’s archival holdings. Beyond the galleries, deliberations often continue in the state-of-the-art conservation studios where conservators discuss the complex methodology of works of art and the institution’s commitment to engage artists in the preservation of their work.

Participation begins with an annual gift of $7,500, of which $125 is non-deductible.
