Ben Coonley’s Trading Futures (2015) is a 3D, 360-degree video on view in Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art, 1905–2016 (October 28, 2016–February 5, 2017). Multiple visitors can experience the video at once inside a custom-built geodesic dome. In this interview, the artist illuminates the themes at play in his work, including an ambivalent attitude about the influence of technology on our lives.
