Sounds in the background create an echo of the narrator’s voice paired with eerie, high-pitched strokes on string instruments like an out of tune violin.

Narrator: “She who saw all things in the broad-boned earth and beyond,
and knew what was to be known
She who has seen what was, and had embraced the ‘otherness’
She to whom the image clung like a mirror; a display of crisis.
and who dwell together with a devised becoming.

She knows and sees the unknown and lays them bare
She is the ‘monstrous other’, the dark goddess, the possessive jinn,
the dividing persona
She restores myths and histories; the untold and forgotten; the misread and uneven;
Those of and from the Near East.”

To navigate through the remainder of the narrative you can interact with the touch screen directly in the installation or access artport to navigate from your personal device.
