Claire Henry: Al parecer, John Giorno era famoso por dormir; tenía la habilidad de dormirse en cualquier situación y Warhol decidió hacer una película de él mientras dormía.

Claire Henry: Se lo conoce como "todo un filme sobre un hombre durmiendo. Es una película de ocho horas". En realidad, dura sólo cinco horas y media, pero de todos modos es bastante larga y exige permanecer sentado y soportarla. Lo que me atrae de esta película es que si en verdad permanece sentado y la tolera… y Warhol no esperaba que todos lo hicieran —no creo que él lo hiciera—, se comienza a sentir el propio cuerpo en la butaca.
