Join us for an opening celebration of Henry Taylor: B Side and Fragments of a Faith Forgotten: The Art of Harry Smith with curatorial staff and fellow supporters.

In a first career survey exhibition and the largest exhibition of his works to date, Henry Taylor: B Side celebrates the art of Henry Taylor, a leading contemporary artist widely appreciated for his unique aesthetic, social vision, and freewheeling experimentation in painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. Fragments of a Faith Forgotten will be the first solo exhibition of experimental filmmaker and groundbreaking music ethnologist Harry Smith, introducing his life and work, including paintings, drawings, experimental films, designs, and examples of Smith’s collecting alongside his historic folk music collection.

Ruth Asawa Through Line, The Whitney’s Collection: Selections from 1900 to 1965, Inheritance, Trust Me, and Ilana Savdie: Radical Contractions will also be on view.
