Open Studio for Teens

Grab your friends and get creative! New York City teens are invited to a free drop-in art making program at the Whitney on most Fridays. Bring your works-in-progress or create something entirely new. All supplies are provided and no previous art experience is required—everyone is welcome.

*On March 1, the Lower East Side printshop will host a special screen-printing workshop.

*On March 15, For Freedoms will lead a special workshop on the power of advertising and billboards.

*On May 3, Youth Insights (YI) Leaders will be hosting a special workshop, inspired by the exhibition Spilling Over: Painting Color in the 1960's.

*On June 21, Biennial artist Nicole Eisenman will lead a discussion and sketching activity.

Free for teens. Upon entering the Museum, pick up a ticket in the lobby.

The Hearst Artspace and the Seminar Room are equipped with induction hearing loops and infrared assistive listening systems. Accessible seating is also available.
