The Whitney’s Education Department is hosting The Lower East Side Printshop for an artist residency inspired by Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again. Schools, community organizations, families, and teens are invited to try their hand at the silk screening process and to experiment with some of the printmaking techniques that Andy Warhol used in his own work. Participants will look at artwork created by Warhol and then make their own prints on tote bags with guidance from the Printshop’s master printers and staff.
Free for teens. Upon entering the Museum, pick up a ticket in the lobby. Refreshments and art materials provided. No RSVP required—bring a friend!
