For New York City Teens

Join artist Nick Mauss for a special session of Open Studio for Teens! Inspired by over 800 photographs of dancers and choreographers taken by Carl van Vechten in the 1940’s, teens are invited to create their own dynamic portraits using vibrant backdrops and different kinds of props. Mauss will work with participants to focus on styling and posture to create a character and tell a story in their photograph.

Free for teens. Upon entering the Museum, pick up a ticket in the lobby and head up to the Hess Theater on Floor Three.
