Join us for a free online artmaking program in collaboration with the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop! Printmaking has played a central role in Jasper Johns’s artistic practice, and Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror features a wide variety of prints. Together with experts from the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, we will explore the collagraph printmaking technique using at-home art materials.
Materials:
Printing:
- Block printing ink or tempera paint
- Ink brayer or paint brushes
- Paper to print on
- Paper towels or a clean rag
- Spoon (for printing by hand)
Collage:
- One cardboard base
- Glue stick or double-sided tape
- Scissors
- Paper or cardboard scraps for collaging
Optional:
- Leaves and flowers
- Feathers
- String and yarn
- Fabric
- Aluminum foil
- Plastic bags
