Families with kids of all ages

Join educators from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum for a free online artmaking program inspired by the exhibition Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror, jointly on view at both museums! Together we will explore the ways Johns uses numbers, letters, and everyday symbols in his artworks. Then we will create our own compositions with everyday symbols using at-home art materials. You won’t want to miss this exciting collaboration!

Materials:

  • Paper and pencil
  • Ruler or straightedge
  • Color options:
    • Colored pencils
    • Markers
    • Watercolors
  • Optional:
    • Number or letter stencils

Our programs aim to reach a neurodiverse audience with a wide range of learning styles and developmental stages. This event will provide an ASL interpreter.
