Open Studio for Teens:
Inspired by Claes Oldenburg

High school students, grades 9–12

Teens are invited to a free artmaking program on Zoom with Whitney educators. Each week, participants will experiment, create, and learn together with at-home art projects inspired by the Whitney’s exhibitions and collection. 

Teens will create a drawing inspired by Claes Oldenburg’s focus on everyday objects.

Materials List:

  • Still life of food 
  • Drawing paper or sketchbook
  • Drawing pencils or charcoal

This event will have automated closed captions through Zoom. Live captioning is available for public programs and events upon request with seven business days advance notice.
