For Freedoms is a collective of artists, arts institutions, and active citizens who experiment with and produce new forms of civic action. As part of its 50 State Initiative, For Freedoms erected artist-designed billboard installations across the United States that catalyzed conversations about our political system and climate.

In conjunction with Andy Warhol—From A to B and Back Again, this drop-in program invites participants to conceptualize and create their own billboard designs, exploring the power of advertising and large-scale images as Warhol did in his work. Joined by members of For Freedoms, participants will explore what it means for artwork to co-opt the commercial and political space. Will our messages collectively hold up over time? Do they provoke questions? Do they tell deeper stories?
