Member Saturday Night

SAT, June 1, 2013
6:30–8:30 pm

All members

The Whitney is open late--just for members! Enjoy live music, grab a quick drink at the cash bar, and then explore the exhibitions, all without the daytime crowds. Tours of Hopper Drawing and Jay DeFeo: A Retrospective will begin at 7 and 7:45 pm.

Also during Member Saturday Night, members can enjoy a special opportunity to hear from Cynthia Carr, who will read from her book Fire in the Belly: The Life and Times of David Wojnarowicz (Bloomsbury, 2012). Works by Wojnarowicz (1954-1992) are on view this summer as part of I, YOU, WE.

To register for the Cynthia Carr reading, please email memberinfo@whitney.org.

This event is open to all members, plus one guest. For more information about our Member Saturday Nights, or if you have questions about other members-only events, please do not hesitate to call us at (212) 570-3641.
