In Melinda Ring’s Mouse Auditions, the experimental choreographer’s meta dance, the process becomes the product. Ring holds auditions for a fully imagined but never to be performed work specifically designed for Martin Kersels’s sculpture. The investigative and precarious nature of the director-performer relationship is Ring’s subject, and she invites the audience to serve as her accomplice.

This event is one in a series, Live on 5 Songs, curated by 2010 artist Martin Kersels, whose sculpture, 5 Songs, leads a double life as a stage for performance throughout the duration of the Biennial.

This event is free with museum admission; there are no special tickets or reservations required.
