Second Floor

Laura Poitras’s The Oath, a look at the lives of two former associates of Osama Bin Laden, is the second part of a trilogy documenting the global impact of American foreign policy in the wake of 9/11. Today, she discusses her “9/11 Trilogy” as a whole, and will premiere clips from the project’s final film, still in progress, which shows how the war has ultimately come home. This is followed by a discussion with Dennis Lim, editorial director at the Museum of the Moving Image and a regular contributor to The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times.

Event takes place in the Kaufman Astoria Studios Film Galleries on the Museum’s second  floor. It is free with Museum admission and admittance is on a first-come, first-seated basis until capacity is reached. Late admittance is strongly discouraged so please arrive early.
