Contemporaries Patrons

Contemporaries Patrons are invited to join Whitney Contemporaries co-chairs Adam Abdalla, Kyle DeWoody, and Patrick McGregor for a private talk and optional dinner with Whitney permanent collection artist Josh Kline.

Whitney associate curator Christopher Y. Lew writes, “Josh Kline’s art investigates the ephemeral nature of the lifestyle economy and its relationship to labor and the self. . . . While at first glance, Kline’s work may appear complicit in the dissemination of mass culture, his art utilizes the visual vocabulary of advertising to respond to the systems of promotion and circulation.”

Registration for the dinner has closed. Limited seating for talk is still available. To reserve, email contemporaries@whitney.org. The event address will be provided to registrants.

Open to Contemporaries Patrons. Become a member or upgrade your membership by calling (212) 570-7746.
