For New York City teens

New York City teens are invited to a figure drawing workshop at the Whitney Museum. Toyin Ojih Odutola’s drawings explore the complexity of identity and reimagine what a portrait can be. Using intricate marks in charcoal, pastel, and pencil, the artist tells stories about her mysterious characters who are placed in luxurious settings. Join us to draw real models (our very own Youth Insights teens) from life, inspired by Ojih Odutola’s work.

This event is free. Refreshments and art materials provided. No RSVP required – bring a friend! Tickets will be handed out by an Education staff member in the Museum Lobby on the day of the event.
