Floor Three, Susan and John Hess Family Theater

In conjunction with Laura Poitras: Astro Noise, journalists and activists share their experiences with using the Freedom of Information in Action (FOIA) to uncover news and bring evidence to light. Speakers Julia Angwin, ProPublica (JuliaAngwin), Sarah Cohen, New York Times (sarahcnyt), Sam Sinyangwe, Campaign Zero, Brandon Smith, independent journalist (muckrakery), are joined by moderator Nabiha Syed, Buzzfeed, in the discussion.

This event is produced in collaboration with Harlo Holmes, Freedom of the Press Foundation, and is part of a series of public events, lectures, and talks organized in tandem with ​Laura Poitras: Astro Noise​.
