Floor 8, Skylight Galleries

Whitney Circle, Fellow, and Sponsor members are welcome to join us for a special opportunity to tour At the Dawn of a New Age: Early Twentieth-Century American Modernism with Curator Barbara Haskell.

At the Dawn of a New Age showcases art produced between 1900 and 1930 by well-known American modernists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Charles Burchfield and their now largely forgotten, but equally groundbreaking, peers. Drawn primarily from the Whitney’s permanent collection, the exhibition provides new perspectives on the myriad ways American artists used nonrepresentational styles to respond to the realities of the modern age.
