Floor Five, Neil Bluhm Family Galleries

Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patrons members

Whitney Contemporaries are invited to an exclusive walk-through of Michael Heizer's installation Actual Size: Munich Rotary (1970), on view from March 25–April 10 as part of the experimental five-part exhibition Open Plan. Like all the projects presented during Open Plan, Heizer’s piece will use the entire fifth floor as a single open gallery, unobstructed by interior walls. This is the first time this iconic work in the Whitney’s collection will be shown in New York. Tours led by Joan Tisch Teaching Fellows will provide Contemporaries members with an inside look at Heizer’s work. A beer and wine reception will be open in the Museum's lobby before and after the tour.

Active members at the Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patrons levels are invited to register for one of two options:

Thursday, April 7
Option 1: 7 pm
Option 2: 7:45 pm

This event has reached capacity. Invitations were sent to active Contemporaries members. Please email Contemporaries@whitney.org to join the waitlist.
