All Whitney Contemporaries

Join fellow Whitney Contemporaries members in the Hamptons this summer as we visit the DeKooning house (Saturday) and the Art Hamptons fair (Sunday) with young art collectors from around the area.

On Saturday July 13, visit the home that the de Koonings purchased at 55 Alewive Brook Road in 1975. Elaine de Kooning finished the studio three years later and created her last important bodies of work: Cave Walls and Cave Paintings (1985-88). After her death, the sculptor John Chamberlain owned the house and studio, followed by the painter Richmond Burton. This summer, Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe will be in residence.

On Sunday the 14th, you’re invited to explore Art Hamptons and a special polo demonstration from the Southampton Hunt & Polo Club. Afterward, you’re invited to a private cocktail reception at the fair.

Open to all Contemporaries. RSVP to both events required. To join the Contemporaries and attend this event, call (212) 570-7746.
