Open to Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patrons

Join us for an after-hours tour of the retrospective Grant Wood: American Gothic and Other Fables. Known for American Gothic, perhaps the most recognizable painting of the twentieth century, Wood produced work that was comprised of reassuring images of American harmony and prosperity. These images simultaneously reflected anxieties rooted in his personal experiences as an artist and a closeted gay man in the 1930s Midwest. A wine reception will be open before and after the tours.
