Open to Contemporaries and Contemporaries Patron Members

Join fellow Contemporaries for a group visit to explore this year’s Independent Study Program (ISP) exhibitions. The ISP provides a setting within which students pursuing art practice, curatorial work, art historical scholarship, and critical writing engage in ongoing discussions and debates that examine the historical, social, and intellectual conditions of artistic production.

Not Everything Is Given represents the work of current Helena Rubinstein Curatorial Program Fellows in creating an exhibition that disturbs the expectations from artworks and artists to “demonstrate,” “elucidate,” or “bear witness’’ to the fraught conditions of our world. The show is presented in Roy Lichtenstein’s former home and studio, recently renovated as the ISP’s new permanent space.

At Odds With shares recent work by the current Weitzen Studio Program Fellows in an exhibition curated by Juana Berrío and presented at Westbeth Gallery.
