Fourth Floor

Charles Atlas's experimental films, documentaries, multichannel installations, and live electronic performances have innovatively defined their mediums since the 1970s. Atlas collaborated with Merce Cunningham throughout his career, documenting the company's dances and providing the final living record of many of their seminal works. This partnership culminated in 2008's feature-length Ocean. He discusses his work with Robert Swinston, the former Director of Choreography of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, and the Biennial curators.

Free with Museum admission. Admittance is on a first-come, first-seated basis until capacity is reached. Late admittance is strongly discouraged, so please arrive early.
