Patryk Tomaszewski received his Ph.D. in Art History from the CUNY Graduate Center. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Fordham University and the Borough of Manhattan Community College, where he has taught courses on European and American art since 2016. Between 2017 and 2020, he served as a Mellon Humanities Alliance Graduate Teaching Fellow at LaGuardia Community College. Patryk’s research interests encompass global 20th-century realisms, and his dissertation offers the first scholarly examination of exhibitions of Socialist Realist art in Stalinist Poland (1948-1956). His writing has appeared in ArtMargins Online and MoMA's post. Notes on Modern and Contemporary Art Around the Globe, among other publications.
