The Greenwich Village School PS 41

At PS 41, the arts are valued for contributing to the creativity of the school, and integrated into all curriculum areas. Second grade art and social studies classes study the history of New York by using neighborhood resources like the waterfront, the High Line, and the Whitney Museum. Recent programs include Guided Visits and multi-part projects in the classroom and at the Museum.

2015

Third graders from PS 41 participated in our Community Art Project with artist Lize Mogel. Inspired by black-and-white photographs of the buildings and parks around their school, students made maps that included drawings and three-dimensional representations of their favorite food spots and restaurants.
