School Partnerships

We create long-term, multi-year partnerships with a small group of New York City schools that focus on the whole school community: students, their families, teachers, and administrators.
School Partnerships include guided visits, hands-on art making, classroom visits, family programs, and professional development for teachers. Whitney Education staff works closely with teachers to design customized programs that are tailored to the specific needs of their students and map to their school curriculum.
Whenever possible, partnership school students participate in special artist-led workshops or presentations. School staff receive educator passes for free admission to the Museum and priority booking for Guided Visits. Partnerships are free of charge for New York City Title 1 public schools.
PS 33 is a public elementary school in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. The school was Title 1 until 2014, and serves a large percentage of high need students.
The Clinton Middle School has an arts-integrated curriculum that allows students to work across disciplines, exploring artists and writers.
Gotham is an art-focused, Title 1 public high school in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Grace Church School is a co-educational independent school for K-12 students in downtown Manhattan.
A public school in the Chelsea neighborhood that supports students with a humanistic curriculum and reflective inquiry.
LoMA is an art-focused Title 1 public high school on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
PS 41 is a public elementary school in the West Village where the arts are integrated into all curriculum areas and contribute to the creative pulse of the school.
West Side Collaborative is a Title 1 public middle school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
