Frenchette Café and Bakery
Floor 1
Frenchette Café and Bakery, created by James Beard Award–winning chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson offers a delicious range of culinary experiences, from an on-premises bakery, to a full-service café.
Guests can choose from a thoughtfully curated take-away selection of freshly baked breads, pastries, “pizz’ettes,” and sandwiches, or enjoy the café’s seasonal menu of soups, salads, composed plates, and desserts, as well as carefully selected wines, beers, and cocktails.
Located on the ground floor of the Whitney Museum, in the Andrea and James Gordon Restaurant space, the café and bakery are open to all visitors, with or without a Museum ticket. Whitney Members enjoy a 10% discount.
On Free Friday Nights, the cafe and bakery stay open late, offering special menu items and happy hour drinks. On Tuesdays when the Museum is closed, a bakery-only menu is available.
The restaurant features a site-specific commission by artist Rashid Johnson.

Studio Bar
Floor 8
The newly revamped Studio Bar is now open. Located on Floor 8 of the Museum, Studio Bar offers visitors a quiet space to take a break, recharge, have a snack or a drink, and enjoy the Whitney’s iconic terraces and views, all while remaining immersed in art: Nourish, a monumental artwork in mosaic tile by artist Dyani White Hawk, anchors the space.
Guests can order a selection of sweet and savory snacks and beverages—including coffee, wine, and beer—at the counter and then sit at a table. Studio Bar is operated by Frenchette Bakery at the Whitney. Whitney members receive a 10% discount.
