Support Education
The Whitney’s Education Department offers diverse programs that respond to the complexity and challenges of contemporary art and extend the themes of exhibitions on view. Each program encourages creative thinking and, whenever possible, incorporates working artists into the programming. In 2008-09, education programs impacted over 100,000 people, including 11,000 schoolchildren and 1,000 seniors.
