Nani Chacon | Audio Guide Teaser | Whitney Biennial 2026

Mar 24, 2026

Nanibah Chacon's sculptures in the 2026 Whitney Biennial draw out the visual similarities between the sand paintings of Diné (Navajo) gods and electrical towers used by coal refineries on the Navajo Nation. After the Biennial closes, one of the sculptures will be installed on the land of the Navajo Nation. Chacon spoke to us about the sculptures installed on our sixth floor terrace.
